The entire PAUWES is saddened by the demise of Engineer Birundu Ann Mogoi from Kenya who was part of Ethiopian Airline crash of yesterday from that killed all 157 passengers on board.
Ann was part of the first cohort of PAUWES doing Water Engineering whose exemplary life filled with smiles, zeal and passion contributed to the growth of the Institute. Her leadership style as a course rep left an indelible mark of excellence among her peers.
It is heartbreaking to lose such a great asset of Africa under such circumstance.
On behalf of all students, staff and partners of the Institute, we express our heartfelt condolence to the family of Ann. We share with them in this moment of grief.
PAUWES will hold a moment of silence tomorrow at 10:00 am to reflect and pay respect to Ann Mogoi Birundu.
May the soul of Ann and that of all other victims find rest in the hands of their maker!
Amen

Tonight I can not express my sorrow by reading that Anne died in the crash of Ethiopian Airlines … She was exemplary in her attitude, her education, her desire to learn I will never forget that joy of life that she gave off … .. unforgettable Anne I pray God to accept you in his vast paradise … you will be missed forever Anne ….
