Chewki Ziani-Cherif, Deputy Director
Chewki Ziani-Cherif received his DEA (M.Sc. equivalent) and Ph.D degrees from the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France. After completing two post-docs in the US and Canada, he joined Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida doing research on neurogedenerative diseases, and especially Alzheimer Disease, while lecturing at both the University of North Florida and the Community College in Jacksonville, Florida. He received an expert certification in Alzheimer Disease in 1999 by the Mayo Board of the Mayo Medical School. In 2002, He joined the University of Tlemcen, Algeria were he has been since active in full time lecturing and research. Currently, he is full Professor of Organic and Neurochemistry, while holding the position of Deputy Director of the Pan-African University for Energy and Water sciences (including climate change) PAUWES, located in Tlemcen, Algeria. Professor Ziani-Cherif is a board member of the American Science Publishing Group, editor in the Mediteranean Journal of Chemistry, an alumni of CSP (Chemical safety and Security Program). He is a tentative novelist with his first Novel “Presidential Conspiracy”.
